Nissan on Monday revealed a roadmap that will pivot the automaker back toward hybrids and plug-in hybrids for the U.S., as well as higher-volume, reduced-cost EVs, with aims to cut the cost of next-generation EVs by 30%.

As such, they’ll cost the same or less than combustion models by 2030.

Models using this approach will be headed into production in 2027.
