    RMI analyzed 24 states under current climate policies to see where they could best slash emissions by 2030 and keep US goals on track.

    Forty-six states are drawing up plans to cut their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to take advantage of a $5 billion provision in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) known as the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program. In a separate article, RMI shows the best way for states to set ambitious, actionable, and achievable emissions reduction targets in such plans.
