Acidophilus, <\/em>you\u2019ve encountered probiotics.<\/p>\n Probiotics are technically defined by the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP) as \u201clive microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.\u201d These little guys are kind of a big deal, linked to all kinds of benefits for your health and well-being. And you can find them in everything these days, from yogurts and teas to makeup and skin-care products to your traditional supplements.
