    Litter Free Dorset launches Sustainable Business Award to reduce plastics


    LITTER Free Dorset is launching a new Sustainable Business Network and Award scheme, free to join and open to all Dorset-based businesses who want to reduce their plastic consumption and become more sustainable.

    The number of single-use plastics used globally has tripled since the start of the pandemic, with an estimated 583 billion plastic bottles produced in 2021. That is 100 billion more than were produced just five years ago.

    The Sustainable Business Award is all about helping businesses make small changes which can have a big impact on the environment.

    Litter Free Dorset is inviting businesses to take their first steps towards achieving the Sustainable Business Award by completing its initial survey, which should only take about 10 minutes to complete.
