    Cecilie Bahnsen Unveils Her First Upcycled Trainer Collection With Asics

    For Bahnsen, the handcrafted nature of the collaboration was crucial to reflect the way that each of her dresses are made. “Handwork has always been [a form of] meditation or therapy for me; to have these creative moments where I sit with the product and embroider by hand,” she explains, adding that each shoe took around four hours to complete. “So much love and passion has gone into each design.”

    Bahnsen’s eco-conscious practices also align well with Asics’s sustainability drive: 90 per cent of the trainer brand’s running shoes made in 2021 and 2022 have been made from recycled materials, while the company also unveiled its low carbon emissions sneaker earlier this month.
